Long description: Iron rowel spur. It has a U-shaped heel band with an openwork, multi-lobed plate, incised with ring and dots. From here the kidney-shaped neck extends, is bifurcated and is decorated with a kidney-shaped hole cut out on each side. It holds the eight-pointed star rowel, which has eight perforations. Attached to the plate are two hooks, each of which are attached to a long chain of foliate links, one of which terminates in another disc hook. The arms of the heel band are incised with foliate designs, have ornamental terminals. [JC [OPS Move] 7/4/2017]
