- Amulet of knotted string and beads
- Long description
- Piece of knotted and tangled string with a short piece of cotton tied to it. Onto this is threaded three blue beads in a row, and from this hangs four string tassles threaded with three (one tassle has only two) red and white glass beads. [JP 16/10/2003] Attached to the end of one of the four tassles is small a circular perforated piece of stone and attached to the end of the tassle threaded with only two white beads is a small twig tied to which is some blue/grey wool yarn. Full name of Dr E.R. Jones possibly Evan Rhys Jones, see records at Regent's Park College Angus Library and Archive which suggest he worked in Africa between 1910 and 1920 with his wife Elizabeth. They were Baptist missionaries and medical staff [AP 21/7/2016]
