The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2012 as: “Kin ichi-yen …”, 1 yen received as donation to rebuilt the main building of Zojo-ji temple, “Meiji jushichi nen juichi-gatsu juni-nichi”, 12 November, Meiji 17 (1892) [MJD 16/10/2012]
