Hand-spun cotton ‘blanket’ with patterns in ikat, a resist-dyeing process in which the warp or weft yarns are tie-dyed before weaving. Made in Toraja Region, Sulawesi, Indonesia, before 1981. Caption prepared by Julia Nicholson and Jeremy Coote on 8 July 2013.
