- Long description
- Incense pot made of cream clay. Coiled and painted [RJ 12/3/2003] Description added by [RJ 12/3/2003] - Four-footed incense pot. The feet are pointed with little grooves at their tips. A handle is attached to one of them and the side of the vessel. There is a flat platform where the incense should be placed at the top of the vessel. Then there is a hollow neck at the bottom of which, inside, there is a floor with three rectangular holes cut into it. The rest of the vessel, between the neck and the feet, is hollow. This is probably where a candle is placed to heat the incense. The exterior has been painted in bright red paint and black paint with a pattern of triangles and lines. The incense platform has a red cross painted onto it.
