- Long description
- Pihepihe or piupiu worn as a shoulder cape with partly blackened pokinikini [striated pendants of rolled leaf]. A deep band at the top is woven from the ends of the pokinikini tags and undyed muka (processed New Zealand flax/Phormium tenax). This top section also incorporates red and blue wool decorative elements.
