Description
Tent wall cover.
Long description
The cover is made of ten strips of woven material with vertical stripes. The ten strips have been sewn together by hand along their length on both sides. The strips of material consist of differing width stripes mainly in red, blue and greenish brown colours. At the top and bottom the ends have been hemmed by hand. At the top four loops of bright red braid have been sewn to the textile. These loops are presumably for hanging the cover. On the front of the cover in the middle at the top there is an applique decoration. This consists of a green triangle of cloth on top of which has been sewn a smaller triangle of red cloth. The red triangle has been embroidered with a swastika symbol in plain white cotton yarn. [MdeA 23/9/2002]
