Description
Palmette fan for fire-blowing.
Long description
Palmette fan for fire-blowing. The main body of the fan is made from interwoven cane strips, interlaced to form a pattern of zig-zagging lines. The functional end of the fan is in the form of a rectangle, spaced out at the base of which three legs of cane strips bound by cane are fixed. These cane legs extend for approximately 140 mm before meeting and are secured together using further cane strips. Around these numerous strips, which are thin enough to resemble straw, a twisted string of cane has been wrapped and tied, holding them together. [LKG 27/08/2009]
