- String of sixteen beads strung on black cotton thread. The beads are oval in shape with flat undersides and convex top sides. Each bead has been perforated twice across the width to enable it to be strung.

- The beads are made of black glass and were made to imitate jet and to be worn during mourning. [MdeA 21/3/2002]
