1897.44.18Tin hanging lamp. The main body is an enclosed cylinder. A projecting oval pan has been attached to the base of this in which a rolled wick nozzle is set. A wick which shows signs of use and previous saturation is present in both the nozzle and the pan. There is also a narrow horse-shoe shaped hood overhanging some of the pan and is attached to the body of the cylinder. A simple stirrup handle is perforated and has a wire hook threaded through it.
