Description
Rectangular shield of twill plaited cane basketry. An elongated boss of soft wood is incised with a zigzag design and has metal blades driven into it which protrude slightly. [LM 26/03/2007]
Long description
On the back of the shield is another layer of basketry in a closer weave, a pocket (making a third layer) and a hand grip. [LM 26/03/2007]
