Long description
Conical fish trap of a length of bamboo split into eight strips as far as a node near the top and expanded into a cone, each with a thorny stick inside. The lengths of thorny calamus midribs are bound on with cane-strip in a continuous piece, circling the cone four times. A bark strip cord passes through the tube and a twisted piece of plant fibre is tied to the top. [MJD 03/11/2009]
