Long description
Wooden pipe stem, cylindrical, with openwork carving of a conventionalised animal or insect forms, in three tiers, each with four representations and the tiers separated by undulating bands. The ends of the cylinder are decorated with zigzag lines. The section which would fit into the pipe bowl socket has been wrapped in a plain textile strip. There is a tubular iron mouthpiece.
