Long description
Brass object, possibly an animal figure in a conventionalised style. It comprises a roughly cylindrical body, widening and flattening towards one end, and tapering to a rounded tip at the other. There are four, short, cylindrical feet on the underside. There are two raised brass bands at either end and two curving rods placed crosswise over the tapered end, all incised with transverse lines. The main body is decorated with a series of stamped triangle designs, with a central band formed of an incised grid and incised saltire designs. [JC [OPS Move] 16/6/2017]
