Long description
Man’s embroidered body cloth of undyed woven material with 6 black stripes and 3 stripes of red and black. The black stripes are equally spaced and parallel running down the length of the cloth. The black stripes on the outer edges of the cloth are made of two narrow stripes with a thin white band separating them. A thin line of white is then followed by a thin line of red and black on the inner edge of the strpes. The designs sewn into the supplementary weft are comprised of rows of black triangles, with a line of inverted red triangles running parallel with a final line of red and black dashes. Three such lines are arranged parallel and horizotally between the outer black line on one side and the next black line in on the body of the cloth. The cloth is made of four strips of material stitched together. [LKG 18/3/2010]
