Long description
Model of morung post with representation of four horn-bills and a ?mithan’s head. The post is carved from a single piece of wood with a stylised mithan head carved at the bottom. Above this are four carved horn-bils with abrus precatorius seed eyes set in black ?resin [three eyes are missing]. The birds and ?mithan head are also decorated with black pigment. [SM (Verve) 25/09/2013]
