Long description
Part of an old notched house-post, probably recording numbers of guests invited to the owner’s mithan sacrifice and later hung up as an ornament. Length of wood with raised vertical and horizontal sides, deep notches are cut into these forming a zigzag in the concavely curved sides. Thick plant fibre cord is threaded through a perforation at one end. [BS [OPS move] 13/7/2017]
