Description
Perforated cowrie shell. [LKG 14/07/2009]
Long description
Perforated cowrie shell. The shell is of an ochre-white hue and is perforated at one end, above the natural jaw on the opposite side. About this end there is an area of dark red-brown discolouration, mirrored on both sides. This discolouration could result from contact with the corroded metal beads on either side of the shell.
