Iron ceremonial spear or staff. [EH [OPS move] 31/7/2017]
Long description
Iron ceremonial spear or staff. The shaft is perforated in three places, and is cylindrical except from the middle section which is quadrilateral and surrounded by eight cylindrical and spirally twisted arched rods. One end of the staff is formed by two spirally twisted rings, one set at right angles in the other, and the other end is spear-pointed. The shaft is wound round with broad spiral copper wire on either side of where the arched rods join the main stem of the shaft, and at its junction with the two rings.
