Description
Wooden stool with circular, concave seat. [JC [OPS Move] 10/5/2017]
Long description
Stool carved from one piece of wood. It has a circular, concave seat and a single, square-sectioned stem which diverges into four splaying, triangular-sectioned legs. The underside of the seat is decorated with fields of parallel grooves, the top of the stem with deeply carved chevrons in a mirrored pattern, and the outer faces of the legs with longitudinal bands of zigzags and triangular fields of parallel grooves. There is a triangular perforation at the top of the stem. The edge of the seat and triangular shapes on the underside of the seat and top of the stem have been stained black.
