Description
Wooden dao carrier with cotton rope tassels. [El.B 27/2/2007]
Long description
Carrier is a very large rectangular box with central slit, with concave long edges on one side, with incisions along the edge. The two sides are nailed together. On the short sides are tubular projections to which thick white cotton ropes are fastened. The ends of the ropes are reinforced with wood splints and wound with green, black and red thread. Also fastened to the projections is a thin cotton rope, partly wound with red and black thread, serving as a belt. [El.B 27/2/2007]
