- Long description
- Base and wheel of spool winding device. Base is formed of fours lengths of wood nailed together, two heavy, two thinner nailed on top. The wheel is formed of two wooden discs on an axle, the discs have holes along the outer edge which are threaded with cord forming spokes between the two discs. The axle is slotted between two uprights and a crank handle projects from one side. These uprights are set in one of the heavier base lengths of wood, in the other are set two uprights which hold pegs [.5 & .6] in which the metal cross bar [.4] rests.
