- Research and responses
This object was examined by Professor Itaru Chijiwa during his research visit in December 2010. He believes that the spelling "Inoshimajinja" in the Accession Book Entry might be incorrect and should be spelt "Enoshimajinja" [SM 17/12/2010]
The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2011 as: (Far right) “Go-shinpo mokuroku” - List of sacred treasures. The list includes weapons of feudal lords such as Tokugawa Ieyasu, Hojo Ujiyasu and Honda Hehachiro, and the hand written documents of Nichiren and Kobo-daishi. [SM 15/07/2011]
