Long description
Double cylinder bellows [.1] and two pistons [.2 &.3]. The cylinders and back piece of the bellows are carved and hollowed from a single piece of wood. Two circles of wood are attached to the base with iron nails and two iron staples which are supporting cracks in the wood. An iron loop is attached to the front and a length of plant fibre rope is tied to it. The back has two small holes at the base. The pistons can be removed from the bellows. They have bamboo handles and a carved wooden cone shape at one end. A number of feathers have been attached to this with cane strips, which have been threaded/stitched through holes in the wooden cone. A large amount of ?cotton yarn is also attached inside the wooden cone. [SM (Verve) 21/05/2014]
