- Long description
- Hand mangle. Dark brown rectangular wooden board with one end carved into the shape of three circles in a pyramid each intricately carved with different geometric patterns. The board is divided into five panels, each with a circle dominating and each carved with an individual floral or geometric pattern. Between the first two panels 'AAM' is decoratively carved; between the second and third 'AAM HM 8' is carved; between the third and fourth 'AAD' is carved; between the fourth and fifth 'ANNO' is carved; and at the bottom '1704' is carved. A solid horse figure/handle is attached towards the wider end with the arches. In front of the horse the following is carved in relief: '17 ALTJES IBES 60'.
