Description
Hand mangle; stained dark brown. [MOBB [OPS move] 9/1/2017]
Long description
Hand mangle; stained dark brown. Rectangular plank with one end carved to resemble six circles in a pyramid and the other end with decorative arches and knobs. The circles are carved with petalled and geometric designs. The plank is divided into five sections. The top four divisions are dominated by large circles with intricate carvings within. The last section is an upside down cut-out heart shape which formed by a lozenge and two tear-drop shapes. Between the panels the following has been carved: 'ANNO 1703 H.Y [heart shape] A.Y. WAS WIT EN MANGELGLAT.' On the reverse, scratched traces of design patterns remain. [MOBB [OPS move] 9/1/2017]
