Long description
Pottery lamp of cream or yellow ware covered in white powdery substance. Pointed oval shape with flat bottom, shallow expanding sides to shoulder and convex sides over the top. There is a channel around the central filling hole and one that runs the length of the wick nozzle and around the (blackened) wick hole. Behind the central hole is a curved, solid handle. The sides of the lamp are decorated with eight circles in relief, each one filled with flowers or petals of different designs. [MOBB [OPS move] 26/10/2016]
