- Long description
- Pottery lamp of buff ware. Pear or tear-drop shaped lamp with flat, round foot and shallow expanding sides to the shoulder. From the shoulder the sides are convex and extend over the top of the lamp. The central filling hole is surrounded by a wide rim and a channel. There are diagonal lines, in relief, which radiate around the sides of the body. There is a ridge which runs the length of the wick nozzle and surrounds the wick hole. Three diagonal lines extend from this ridge on either side of the nozzle. [MOBB [OPS move] 8/11/2016]
