- Long description
- Pottery lamp of red ware slipped dark red or brown on top. Rectangular lamp with six round wick holes in one long side, and two round projecting wick holes along each short side. The corners between the sides with the wick holes are slight raised on the top and may once have been adorned. On the final long side an arched handle projects. It, too, is decorated with an obliterated decoration in relief. The filling hole is also in the handle and surrounded by an oval ridge. The central section of the body is slightly depressed and is rimmed by three ridges and is adorned with an ivy or similar curving design in relief. [MOBB [OPS move] 13/10/2016]
