The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2009 as: “Asosan kanzenon ?? tokoro” (the second and the third characters from the bottom are not legible) - Protection from Kannon of Mt. Aso. [SM 20/04/2009]
