- Long description
- Pocket strike-a-light consisting of a textured ?brass tube extinguisher, with a disk-shaped stopper. There is a flat, oval fire steel with a rectangular opening in the middle clamped to its side. A length of blue cord tinder passes through the tube. There is a roughly rectangular-shaped flint, brown in colour, fastened by a metal chain to the stopper. [PRA [OPS move] 5/9/2017]

1938.35.1261Metal scissor candle snuffers. Finger holes with domed bottom edge, straight outer edges, and internally curved bottom edges which terminate in small discs. When the object is closed these sit together to for a heart shape. Crescent shaped arms or finger blades. Disc boss with rounded edge over the screw.
