Long description
Tinder box containing palm scurf tinder. Cylindrical tube of bamboo, hollowed with one end closed off. The outer surface is elaborately carved with alternating bands of scrollwork arranged in triangles. Filled with powdered palm scurf. See 1938.35.695 .2 for the lid. [BS [OPS move] 6/9/2017]
