Research and responses

There does appear to be a Swaffham Fen in Cambridgeshire, but I can find instances of both spellings [AP 02/08/2006]

There are two villages in Cambridgeshire with the name Swaffham, Swaffham Bulbeck [TL 555 625] and, 1km to the north, Swaffham Prior [TL 555 625]. There is no Swaffham Fen in Cambridgeshire, there is however Swaffham Bulbeck Fen [TL 555 645]. It is likely that this fen is the findspot for this object. [MN 04/06/2009]
