I think that Wanston and Warston are actually Wonston, a place other stone tools were acquired from by Pitt Rivers. I cannot find reference to a Warston or Wanston in Hampshire. There are other references to a long barrow at South Wonston which may be what is referred to here, http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/8469 says that Wonston Long Barrow might refer to Bayley's Clump nearby [AP 08/08/2006]
