Barton on Sea is in the civil parish of New Milton in the district of New Forest in Hampshire. [MN 18/06/2009]

A round barrow [SZ 2461 9318] on Barton Common is recorded on the English Heritage maintained National Monuments Record under monument no. 459182. This record can be accessed online at http://www.pastscape.org.uk/hob.aspx?hob_id=459182. It is thought that the barrow may have been removed during gravel extraction. [MN 18/06/2009]
