- Long description
- Axe head, very heavy, with expanded, quadrangular blade, projecting butt and cracked eye haft socket. The socket is cracked across where it was once welded. A length of metal with a thread is stuck beneath the crack. Two rectangular perforations are above the break. The butt is narrow and roughly cylindrical. [SM 28/01/2008]
