Research and responses

This pipe was studied by the Society for Clay Pipe Research on the 15th August 2025. They noted: Dating between 1660 - 1680. London type. Could have been acquired from William Bragge, contemporary of Pitt-Rivers. He had a large collection of pipes which he frequently loaned and exhibited including in South Kensington where Pitt-Rivers also exhibited his collection..
