- Description taken from Conservation Card by Marie Lee Haynes - Plant fibre umbrella. Rain shield "Shidung koi". Shied shaped cover for head + back. Interior structure of plaited leaf stitched horizontally with cane strips to vertically placed external leaf strips which extend at bottom as a "fringe" of cut edged. Vertical strips at front bound overlapping plaited edge. Cane stiffener from peak front to back of hood inside, outside covered by section of leaf. Strips running back from top of peak, folded and stitched under front of hood, crossed over top and extending down as verticals described above (i.e. [diagram] top view). Post-collection twine loop anchored by wood crossbar at top for suspension. (Marie Lee Haynes 21/02/97) [LKG 30/01/2009]
