Research and responses

Pitt-Rivers bought a number of objects at a Sotheby auction on 2 July 1879, including a number of fibulae (Lots 47, 116,118 and 119). Some of these were from the Medhurst Collection (Jordan Hill and Lancing) .The catalogue is on file in the RDF for 1884.2.1 [Dan Hicks 19/07/2013]
