- Rectangular wood panel, carved with two raised rectangles. The top rectangle is missing an inlaid section, and the lower rectangle is inlaid with the letters IHS ( the christogram IHS) and a cross. The I and part of the cross are missing. [EH [OPS Move] 14/7/2017]

This object could have been obtained by Pitt Rivers during his visits to Brittany in October - November 1878 and March - April 1879. He stayed in France during the intervening winter. During the 1878 visit to Brittany he spent the majority of his time around Carnac.
