Research and responses

No location given in accession book or delivery catalogue (others in same series from Europe) This object cannot be matched against any Ag nos in Blue black or red book. If this object is from Brittany it could have been obtained by Pitt Rivers during his visits to Brittany in October - November 1878 and March - April 1879. He stayed in France during the intervening winter. During the 1878 visit to Brittany he spent the majority of his time around Carnac.
