Long description
Dagger or sword [.1] with leaf-shaped, grooved, barbed blade with curvilinear incised decoration near the barbs, in a brass mounted wooden hilt. Sheath [.2] of wood covered with reptile skin, with a skin bound iron loop at the top. The wooden hilt and one of the barbs are bound with brass wire. The upper part of the hilt is bound with iron and brass strips and capped with a brass disc. The brass strip binding resembles inlay (see description in Accession Book). [LM 09/07/2007]
