Description: Wooden model Russian boat for cod and walrus fishing [ZM 1/3/2016]
Long description: Carved and varnished wooden model boat with a single mast and sail. The sail is made of cotton that has been hemmed around the edges. Cotton rigging is attached to the hull, mast and sail. At the stern is a wooden rudder attached to the clinker style hull using moveable metal hinges, probably brass. Attached to the bow with wire is a metal anchor. There are twelve individually carved oars, each has MURMAN written on one side of the blade. The model contains the following detachable parts: the boat [.1] and the twelve oars [.2-.13] [ZM 1/3/2016]
