Long description
Pottery vessel, bowl. (Birgitte Speake 15.5.1997) [FC 27/01/2009] "Small deep bowl of back polished ware. Hemispherical body, round base, plain rim, vertical string-hole handle below rim. The entire exterior surface is decorated with incised linear patterns filled with lime. Horizontal chain of latticed lozenges around the upper body and a vertical chain from below the handle, across the base, to the opposite side. Narrow bands filled with hatchings flank this chain. There are similar bands, vertical and oblique, around the entire exterior surface". [Description by Karageorghis, V., 2009, p.28] [JFK 09/10/2009] From conservation card by Birgitte Speake 15.5.1997: Roughly circular black burnished ware. Incised on the outside decorated with white (pigment). One small 'ear' handle. [FC 27/01/2009]
