Research and responses

This object was examined by Drs Yannis Galanakis and Stella Skaltsa as part of the Fell funded project Characterizing the World Archaeology Collections. They described it as a one-handled skyphos vessel, a type of vessel associated with drinking. They dated it to the fifth/fourth century BC. [AS 06/01/2011]
