Research and responses

NB Pitt Rivers was in Egypt in 1881 on a Cooks Tour, this object could have been collected then. The logic of the order of the green book entry would suggest that this object should not be associated with the fraction number 10/ 13084 but 7/ 13084 [AP Leverhulme project on founding collection 1995-1998]

Founding Collection objects with the number 13084 were possibly obtained by Pitt Rivers during his Thomas Cook trip to Egypt in 1881. [AP 14/8/2015]
