Description
Short sword [.1],with leaf shaped blade, barbed with brass bound wooden hilt and sheath [1884.24.38 .2]. [LM 13/2/2007]
Long description
Short sword [.1],with leaf shaped blade, barbed with brass bound wooden hilt and sheath [1884.24.38 .2]. The wooden hilt has been carved with a grooved decoration, then bound with brass wire which follows the contours of the grooves when it is bound over the top. One of the barbs of the blade is also bound with brass wire. The hilt has quillons which are also bound. The blade is decorated with incised curves near the hilt on both sides. [SM 30/04/2007]
