Information from John Stanton of the Berndt Museum of Anthropology at the University of Western Australia 13.11.96 - comment as 1884.19.11, that is: 'Pitch' ie Xanthorrhea sp (Grass tree) only found in southwest of WA and South Australia. Black rings typical of this region and applied as liquid Xan. resin. Lateral microlyths unique to this region [AP Leverhulme project on founding collection 1995-1998]
