Long description
Ceremonial wooden axe with lozenge-shaped paddle at butt which is carved and coloured red white and black. The axe head is carved to to resemble a trade iron axe head. The butt has been damaged in antiquity and is missing part of its edge. It is carved with an abstract design. [JC [OPS Move] 29/07/2016]
