- Fishing line of baleen wrapped lengthways around a wood winder. The winder is a length of wood with with two prongs carved from both ends. The winder is notched to hold the start of the line. The line is wrapped at least 12 times around the winder. The line is made of short lengths of baleen knotted together. [MJD 07/05/2009]
